The MV Building Trades Apprenticeship Group was well represented at the 3rd Annual Construction Career Fair held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, 3:00-6:00 PM, held at the Dayton Convention Center. The Career Fair was sponsored by Ohio Means Jobs.
With the improving construction project outlook and demand for skilled workers, it is important for the Group to attend Outreach events and recruit the Industry’s future workforce. Joe Travis, SWO Carpenters Training Center, and Mike Yauger, Ironworkers LU#290 JATC, attended the Construction Career Fair and spent time talking with attendees on viable career opportunities in the building trades. Additionally, Jeff Garnett, Bricklayers,; Tim Adams, Plumbers & Pipefitters,; and Eugene Frazier, Rick Perdue, & Mike Tipton, SMART #24 JTAC attended the Career Fair.
