I Build America Announces Third Annual Construction Appreciation Week, September 14-18, 2020
To celebrate the construction industry’s importance to infrastructure and the economy, I Build America, an organization dedicated to promoting the value of the construction industry, declared September 14-18, 2020 as the third annual Construction Appreciation Week.
The construction industry has more than 680,000 employers with seven million employees and creates $1.3 billion worth of structures each year, according to the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC). Construction Appreciation Week aims to inspire a national conversation about construction and show how it enhances lives in America.
While celebrating the millions of men and women who work in the Construction Industry and their accomplishments, it is hoped young adults transitioning into the workforce will be inspired to consider the Construction Industry as a chosen career path.
